Our story
Zaka was founded by two serial entrepreneurs whose combined experience exceeds 65 years and 12 business sectors.
They have joint forces to help ambitious founders to successfully launch and grow their business. Our startups therefore have the opportunity to get business advice from the successful ones as well as to benefit from their rich network of experts and business partners.
Jan Kasper
Jan is a serial entrepreneur since 1988. He owns and co-owns more than 47 companies, active in 9 industries, with revenues of 570 million EUR. He is experienced in sectors of communication, energy, car dealership, leisure & hospitality, real estate & development. Jan used to be a hobby marathon runner, he also co-founded the Bratislava Jazz Days festival and he is a fan of NBA, Champions League and fine red wine.
Peter Zálešák
In 1991, Peter co-founded the company Nay, which became the largest major retail company with more than 75 stores in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Peter’s family holding exceeds revenues of over EUR 500 million and has also other activities in organic farming, development and management of retail real estate (shopping centers), wine trade, finance and others. In 2008, he was named Entrepreneur of the Year by EY – Slovakia.
